LOW TECH CRACKLE BOX WORKSHOP
27. – 29. Mai | Kunstuni Linz
Wir bauen eine Low-Tech Version der Crackle Box, einem elektronischem Synthesizer aus
den 70ern. Das Instrument wurde zur Erzeugung elektronischer Live-Musik hergestellt. MusikerInnen können mit den Fingern beider Hände die elektrischen (oszillierenden) Schaltungen auf der Spielfläche anregen. Abhängig von der Position der Finger sowie deren Druck und Feuchtigkeit entstehen durch Kurzschlüsse Klänge und Geräusche, die nur bedingt zu kontrollieren sind.
Die TeilnehmerInnen brauchen keine elektronischen Vorkenntnisse – es wird eine kurze Einführung in die korrekte Verwendung elektronischer Hilfsmittel geben und grundlegendes Wissen über den Umgang mit Elektronik wird vermittelt.
Ausgehend von einem intuitiven, spielerischen Ansatz sollen theoretische Konzepte aufgenommen bzw. erarbeitet werden und die crackle box soll für eigene kreative Zwecke weiterentwickelt werden. Im Vordergrund steht der kreative, künstlerische Umgang mit dem neuen Tool.
